Christmas was very fun this year. It was my year to have the kids. We invited Cliff and his friend Jane over on Christmas Eve. We sang Christmas carols, ate Christmas cookies (this year we made Christmas Jewels, Spritz, and Gingerbread cookies), read the Christmas story from the Bible, and then opened our Christmas pajamas. Anna wrote a cute Thank you note to Santa, which we left out with a glass of milk and plate of cookies. Ben's Kindergarten teacher sent home a bag of oatmeal and red glitter to be used as reindeer food, so he spread that out over the snow before he went to bed. Ben went right to sleep, but Anna had a difficult time sleeping and stayed up until 11:30 PM. When we got up the next morning, Anna found that Santa had left a note in return, and she noted that Santa's writing looks just like mine. (I wonder why?)
